VACANCIES

The National Lotteries Board (NLB) was established by the Finance Act 1963/11 and fully functions under the Ministry of Finance, which is the regulatory body and the pioneer of the government lottery industry. The NLB is entertaining applications from the suitably qualified dynamic professionals for the following posts.

1. Sales Officer – (01 Post)
2. Order Processing Officer – (01 Post)

6. Information Technology Officer – (01 Post)
7. Computer Programmer – (01 Post)
Required Qualifications and experiences
1. Sales Officer
External
01. A Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing / Business Administration / Commerce Management / Arts recognized by the UGC or full qualifications in the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) / Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM) with a minimum of 02 years post-qualifying Experience in the field of Marketing.

2. Order Processing Officer
External
01. Licentiate / Intermediate level qualification of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (ICASL) or Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIA) or Association of Certified and Corporate Accountants (ACCA) or A Degree in Business Administration/ Management or Commerce recognized by UGC or Higher National Diploma in Accountancy
and
At least 02 years post-qualifying experience in the field of accounting and finance in a Government Department / Corporation / Board or a reputed Mercantile Establishment after obtaining (1) above.

3. Public Relations Officer
External
01. A Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication / Public Administration / Human Resource recognized by the UGC with a minimum of 02 years post-qualifying experience in the relevant field in a recognized institution.

4. Media Coordinating Officer
External
01. A Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication / Marketing / Advertising / Arts (including Mass Media Communication as a subject) recognized by UGC / Professional Qualification in Marketing (PQM) with a minimum of 02 years post-qualifying experience in the relevant field.

The following conditions apply to Internal Applicants for the post no. 01 to 04.
External qualifications or a minimum of 05 years post-qualifying experience as a Management Assistant –
Non Technological Category (MA 1-2) Grade II in the relevant area – National Lotteries Board.

5. Territory Manager
External
A Bachelor’s Degree in (Marketing / Business Administration / Commerce / Management) recognized by The University Grants Commission with 03 years post-qualifying experience in the relevant field of a Government Department / Corporation / Statutory Board or Commercial Institute.
Internal
Completion of a minimum of five (05) years satisfactory service in a post of the Management Assistant –
Non-Tech (MA 1-2) Grade II in the subject area- relevant to the post.
6. IT Officer
External / Internal
01. A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or IT recognized by the UGC and a minimum of 03 years post-qualifying experience in managing LAN/WAN/, Web Application, Network applications, and an extensive knowledge in Security System, Application, Procedures and Techniques, and C#, .Net,
ASP.NET, SQL Server, Windows Server, Linux, Unix, HTML5, XML, Object Oriented Concept, DB
Administration, Crystal Reports, etc.
02. Minimum of 05 years post-qualifying experience as a Management Assistant – Technological
Category (MA 2-2) Grade II in the relevant area – National Lotteries Board.
The following age limit and salary scales are applicable for posts no. 01 to 06.
 Age Limit: Between 22 and 45 years.
The upper age limit will not apply to the internal candidates.
 Salary Scale: JM 1-1 Rs: [72,650 – 10 x 1,360 – 18 x 2,040 = 122,970]
(According to the MS Circular No.01/2025, this salary scale will
begin on 01.01.2027)

7. Computer Programmer
External / Internal
01. The Applicants should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
from a University recognized by the UGC and a minimum of 03 years post-qualifying experience in key
technology areas such as ASP.NET, VB6, VC++, C#, Crystal Reports, and SQL Server back-end.
 Age Limit: Between 18 and 45 years.
The upper age limit will not apply to the internal candidates.
 Salary Scale : MA 3 Rs:[53,940–10x 800 – 11 x 1,190, 10 x 1,320 – 5 x 1,350 = 94,980]
