NATIONAL SALT LIMITED
National Salt Limited is a government-owned company that comes under the purview of the Ministry of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development. Applications are invited for the following positions to work at the Colombo Head Office, Mannar Saltern, and Elephant Pass Saltern (Kilinochchi).

1. Manager – Saltern (MM I-I)
Permanently
(01 Position – at Mannar Saltern)
Required Qualifications:
External Candidates:
1. A Degree in Science or Engineering, which is recognized by the U.G.C., and a minimum of one (1) year post-qualifying experience in a Saltern or any other related industry of Government or recognized institution to the post, after obtaining the first degree.
OR
2. Having obtained a certificate of proficiency not below the National Vocational Qualification Level 7, issued by a Technical /Vocational Training Institute accepted by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission, and a minimum of one year post-qualifying experience in a Saltern or in a relevant project to the post.
Internal Candidates:
1. Having obtained the qualifications required by the external candidates above.
OR
2. Completion of a minimum of five (05) years satisfactory service in a post in the Junior Manager (JM) Category, in the subject area relevant to the post.
Salary Scale: MM 1-1 – 2025 (Salary Rs. 91,690 Increments 10x 2,480 – 15 x 3,450 – 168,240) & Cost of Living Rs. 17,800/-, Professional Allowance – Rs 25,000/-, Telephone Allowance – Rs. 2,000/-, and other Government Approved Allowances will be provided. (Starting Salary for the Year of 2025 – Rs. 71,730)
Age: Should be not less than 22 years and not more than 45 years. The upper Age limit will not apply to internal candidates.

2. Manager – Finance – (MM I-I)

Required Qualifications
External Candidates:
1. A Degree in Management / Commerce, which is recognized by the U.G.C., and minimum one (1) year post-qualifying experience in any Government or any recognized institution as Finance Manager or Accountant to the Post after obtaining the first degree.
OR
2. Pass ICASL, CIMA intermediate level with at least one (1) year post-qualifying experience in the relevant field at any Government organization or any recognized institution.
Internal Candidates:
1. Having obtained the qualifications required by the external candidates above.

3. Assistant Manager – Marketing – (JM I-I)

(01 Position – at Elephant Pass Saltern)
Required Qualifications: External Candidates:
A Degree in Management /Marketing, which is recognized by the University Grants Commission.
OR
Having passed the intermediate Examination of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM – UK)/Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM) or equivalent qualification which the subject area is relevant to the post.
Internal Candidates (1 or 2 below)
1. Having obtained the qualifications required by the external candidates above.
OR
2. Completion of a minimum of five (05) years satisfactory service in a post of the ‘Management Assistant – Non-Technological’ (MA 1-1) Grade II, in the subject area relevant to the post.

Salary Scale: JM 1-1-2025: Rs. [Salary – Rs. 72,650 – Increments – 10 x 1,360 18 x 2,040 122,970] & Cost of Living Rs. 17,800 /-, Telephone Allowance – Rs. 2,000/-, and other Government Approved Allowances will be provided. (Starting Salary for the Year of 2025 Rs. 58,615)

4. Driver- (PL 3)
On a Permanent Basis
(01 Position- at Mannar Saltern)
Required Qualifications:
External Candidates Educational:
01. Having passed six (06) subjects in G.C.E (O/L) examination, at least with two (02) credit passes in a maximum of two sittings.
AND
Having obtained the heavy vehicle license issued by the Commissioner General, Department of Motor Traffic, and a minimum of three (03) years of experience in driving after obtaining the driving license.
Internal Candidates
1. Having obtained the qualifications required by the external candidates above.
OR
2. Having obtained the heavy vehicle license issued by the Commissioner General, Department of Motor Traffic, and a minimum of three (03) years of experience in driving after obtaining the driving license.
AND
Completion of a minimum of five (05) years satisfactory service in a post in the category of Primary level Semi-skilled (PL-2) or Primary level unskilled (PL-1)

Salary scale: PL 32025: Rs. [Salary Rs. 43,280 – Increments – 10 x 490 – 10 x 540 10 x 590-12 x 630 – 67,040] & Cost of Living Rs. 17,800/-, and other Government Approved Allowances will be provided. (Starting Salary for the Year 2025: Rs. 38,387)
Age Limit:
Age should be not less than 18 years and not more than 45 years. The upper Age limit will not apply to internal candidates.

Through a Structured Interview and Practical Test.

5. Office Aide on Ona  Permanent Basis

(01 Position- at Colombo – Head Office)
Required Qualifications:
Persons who have sat for the G.C.E.(O/L) Examination, and have passed Sinhala/Tamil and English subjects.
Salary Scale: PL 1 – 2025: Rs. [Salary Rs. 40,500 – Increments – 10 x 450 – 10 x 4907 x 540 15 x 590 – 62,530] & Cost of Living Rs. 17,800/-, other Government-approved allowances will be provided. (Starting Salary for the Year 2025: Rs. 36,475)
Age Limit:
