General matters about this position:
Every applicant must be a Sri Lankan citizen of excellent character, with physical and mental fitness suitable for performing the duties assigned to the post, as well as serving in any part of the island.

Qualifications must be satisfied in every aspect as of the closing date of applications.

Then the copy of the same must be downloaded, and the original receipt of payment of the application fee must be attached to the hard copy, and sent along with photocopies of your certificates by registered post.

Method of Recruitment
Recruitments will be made on the results of a written competitive examination and/or a structured interview determined by the recruiting authority.
Nature of Appointment This is a permanent post, and it is entitled to the Employees Provident Fund and the Employees’ Trust Fund.

Application Fee
Only external applicants should pay an application fee of Rs 500/- to be credited to the Bank of Ceylon account number 00001643 under the name of “National Dangerous Drugs Control Board” from any Bank of Ceylon branch, and keep a copy of the deposit slip with them and
send the original deposit slip along with the application. The application fee is non-refundable.

Downloaded applications (The position applied for should be clearly mentioned in the top left-hand corner of the envelope containing the application) should be sent to the “Chairman, National Dangerous Drugs Control Board, No. 383, Kotte Road, Rajagiriya” on or before 02.01.2026 by Registered Post. Applicants who are employed in State Corporations or Statutory Boards should send their applications through the relevant Heads of Institutions/ Departments.

Applications for which the relevant qualifications have not been satisfied as at the closing date of applications/incomplete applications/ applications to which the original receipt of payment is not attached / other applications except the downloaded applications, and applications received after the closing date will be rejected.

Decisions made by the Board with regard to recruitment will be final.
