Open Competitive Examination for Recruitment to Grade III of the post of Rubber Development Officer (Departmentalized) in Supervisory Management Assistant Technological Service Category of Department of Rubber Development – 2025

Applications are invited from Sri Lankan males/females who fulfill the undermentioned qualifications for the recruitment of 41 persons for the Grade III post of Rubber Development Officer (Departmentalized) in Supervisory Management Assistant Technological Service Category of the Department of Rubber Development.

Nature of Duties: – Field duty work. The Rubber Development Officers recruited will be deployed for the field duty related to rubber cultivation in the rubber cultivation districts.

Only the applicants who have fulfilled all the following qualifications should apply.

01. Educational Qualifications:
Should have passed the General Certificate of Education (Ordinary Level) Examination in six (06) subjects with credit passes in Sinhala / Tamil / English language, Mathematics, and two other subjects in one sitting
and
a) Should have passed the General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level) Examination in all subjects (except General Common Test) in one sitting. (Passing three (03) subjects in one sitting under the old syllabus is adequate)
and
b) Should have followed a course recognized by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission in Computer Word Processing/Typewriting and Shorthand

02. Professional / Vocational Qualifications
Should have completed a two-year Diploma in Agriculture offered by an institution approved by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission (Should have completed as at the date of calling for applications. Should not apply based on anticipated results.)

03. Physical Qualification
Every applicant should be physically and mentally fit to serve in any part of the island and to discharge the duties entrusted to the post.

04. Other qualifications
I. Should be a citizen of Sri Lanka
II. Should bear an excellent moral character
III. Should have completed all the qualifications required for recruitment to the post as at the date mentioned in this notice of invitation of applications/gazette notification.

05. Salary Method: MN 03 – 2025
Salary Scale: Rs. 52,250 10 x 800 11 x 1,190 10 x 1,320 10 x 1,350 = 100,400

06. Age Limit: Minimum 18 years – Maximum 30 years
