23344 Graduates to the Sri Lanka Teachers Service

The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the recruitment of more than 23,000 teachers to the Sri Lankan state service, a strategic move aimed at strengthening the education sector and supporting the implementation of proposed education reforms nationwide.

Cabinet Spokesman Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa said the intake would strengthen the government’s reform programme in the education sector.

In December 2024, the Cabinet appointed a committee headed by the Secretary to the Prime Minister to identify vacancies in the state service and review existing recruitment procedures. Based on the Committee’s findings and requests submitted by ministries, departments, and other institutions, the Cabinet has now approved the recruitment of 26,095 persons to the public service.

நாட்டில் நிலவும் ஆசிரியர் வெற்றிடங்களை நிரப்புவதற்காக 23,344 பட்டதாரிகளை ஆசிரியர் சேவைக்கு உடனடியாக இணைத்துக் கொள்வதற்கு அமைச்சரவை அங்கீகாரம் வழங்கியுள்ளதாகக் கல்வி அமைச்சு தெரிவித்துள்ளது.

ஆசிரியர் சேவைக்குத் தகுதியானவர்களைத் தெரிவு செய்வதற்காக இரண்டு வெவ்வேறு போட்டிப் பரீட்சைகளை நடத்தத் தீர்மானிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

முதலாவது பரீட்சை: தற்போது அரச சேவையில் பணியாற்றும் பட்டதாரிகளுக்காக மட்டும் நடத்தப்படும்.

இரண்டாவது பரீட்சை: நாட்டில் உள்ள ஏனைய அனைத்து பட்டதாரிகளுக்கும் பொதுவானதாக அமையும்.

குறித்த இரண்டு பரீட்சைகளிலும் மாணவர்கள் பெறும் பெறுபேறுகளின் அடிப்படையில், அதிக புள்ளிகளைப் பெற்ற தகுதியானவர்கள் ஆசிரியர் வெற்றிடங்களுக்கு இணைத்துக்கொள்ளப்படவுள்ளதாகத் தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
