Muslim Charities Fund Scholarships 2026

Announcement – Scholarship Programme for G.C.E. Advanced Level Students – 2026

The Department of Muslim Religious and Cultural Affairs, in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Waqfs Board, has decided to award scholarships from the Muslim Charitable Fund (MCF) to students who are eligible to commence G.C.E. Advanced Level education (First Year) in the year 2026.

This scholarship programme is designed for students from low-income families who have not received any scholarship or financial assistance from any other institution. Students following the G.C.E. Advanced Level curriculum in the streams of Science, Mathematics, Commerce, Arts, and Technology are eligible to apply for this programme.

Eligible applicants must submit a duly completed application form along with all required supporting documents by registered post on or before 31 January 2026. Late applications will not be accepted. Shortlisted applicants will be called for an interview, and scholarships will be awarded based on the outcome of the selection process.

The application form is attached herewith.
The following documents must be submitted together with the completed application form:
1. True copy of the National Identity Card
2. True copy of the G.C.E. (Ordinary Level) examination results
3. True copy of the Birth Certificate
4. Grama Niladhari certificate confirming low-income status
5. Letter from the Mosque confirming low-income status
6. Confirmation letter from the School Principal
