Open Competitive Examination for Recruitment to the Post of Agrarian Development Officer Grade II in the Department of Agrarian Development-2026

APPLICATIONS are hereby called from the candidates who have possessed the qualifications mentioned below, to the post of Agrarian Development Officers fallen vacant in the Department of Agrarian Development under the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Lands, and Irrigation.

(3) General Qualifications

3.1 Should be a citizen of Sri Lanka.

3.2 Should be of an excellent moral character.

3.3 Should be physically and mentally sound to serve in the appointed post in any area of Sri Lanka

3.4 Should be not less than 21 years of age and not more than 35 years of age as at the closing date of applications.
>(Accordingly, the candidates, whose date of birth falls on or before 08/06/2005 and on or after 08/06/1991, will be eligible to apply.)

3.5 No candidate ordained under any religious order will be allowed either to make an application or sit for this competitive examination.

(4) Educational Qualifications:

Should have possessed a degree from a university recognized by the University Grants Commission

(5) Method of recruitment:

5.1 Conditions of the written competitive examination:
Candidates who secure 40% or more marks for each question paper of the examination will be selected, and then recruitment will be made depending on the number of existing vacancies on
The order of merit is based on the aggregate marks.

5.2 Syllabus applicable for the written examination: The examination will consist of two questions
papers.

1. Comprehension – Duration 01 ½ hours – Total marks – 100
2. Intelligence Test – Duration 01 ½ hours – Total marks – 100
(A candidate should secure a minimum of 40% or more for each subject to pass the examination.)
